“A Sense of Place” by Aspen Community School grades fifth through eighth
A classic autumn morning was spent with students (grades 5-8) at the Aspen Community School. Bluebird skies, snow capped mountain tops, an array of fall colored leaves along with a group of enthusiastic kids greeted us! Our guided photo workshops were blended into the students present studies of a “Sense of Place”, a lesson in natural history. Students along with their teachers, Garry Pfaffman and LouRae Doyle, explored their campus surroundings in a new and refreshing perspective. We appreciated the kids mentioning how our photography workshops opened their eyes to things they had taken for granted and allowed them to reconnect with their surroundings. Each child’s experience was rounded out by selecting a favorite image and writing a short caption of what inspired them. Thanks for having us!
